UKAS Dimensional Calibration Service


The Opus UKAS accredited calibration laboratory is equipped to perform a wide range of dimensional calibrations.
Most calibrations are performed in our laboratory which is temperature controlled, by trained technicians who have met the stringent UKAS requirements. 
Certain large items for example surface plates and profile projectors can be calibrated on-site, please contact our sales office for details.

Our UKAS accreditation schedule extends to some 49 items, ranging from a simple engineer’s rule to the measurement of gauge blocks using interferometry where the wavelength of light is the standard..

Our technical competence is enhanced by our efficient and friendly service.

Items can be pre-booked to be calibrated on a specific date thereby minimising inconvenience to customers.

All calibrations (unless requested or notified otherwise) are performed in accordance with agreed procedures and by authorised operators in accordance with UKAS regulations. Results are reported against the relevant British Standard, ISO  or customer’s standard or specification.
